Bank of Palestine signs the Zamalah Fellowship Programme with Alazhar University in Gaza

On Monday, 13/8/2012, Bank of Palestine and Al-Azhar University in Gaza signed the Zamalah Fellowship Programme, an agreement worth USD 250,000. The agreement was signed by Mamoun Abu Shahla, Vice Chairman of BoP on behalf of Hashim Shawa, and Abdel Khaleq Alfarra, president of Alazhar University.

 

The Zamalah Fellowship Programme, which aims to raise the calibre of education in Palestinian universities through building the capacity and increasing the exposure of university professors by sending them to academic and other professional institutions for a period ranging between one semester to a full year. BoP is also working on expanding this programme by inviting other private sector companies and individuals to contribute to the fund.
